Have you always wanted to spend the day at the roller skating rink but did not feel confident enough in your skating abilities? Have you been skating before but wanted to learn more advanced techniques? At Astro Skate, we believe that it is never too late to learn how to skate! We offer classes for all ages and different skill levels. Give roller skating a chance and take some lessons at Astro Skate!
Beginner Skating Lessons — For those skaters just learning to skate. The skater is taught proper balance & co-ordination, learning about the skates, falling & getting up and more. Parents, this is not just for kids! No age requirement! If you can walk, you can skate.
Intermediate Skating Lessons — Involves the next step in skating skills including backward skating, turning, and more.

Rebecca Pallesen is our new roller skating instructor in Tarpon Springs. Beginning on Saturday, January 7, 2012, Rebecca will be providing instructional skating for all levels.

Welcome Dawn Wriedt!
We have a new world class roller skating instructor in our Bradenton facility! Please help us welcome Dawn Wriedt as the newest addition to the Astro Team.
Dawn brings with her: Certification as a USARS skating instructor with over 25 years of experience.
Dawn is well versed in teaching skating basics and safety techniques as well as working with advanced skaters and enjoys challenging students to maximize their talents and abilities.
Additional qualifications include:
- Southern region teacher of the year in 2000 and 2009
- Coached many champions in both singles and pairs events as well as choreographed several winning free dance programs at the regional, national, and world levels
- She has international coaching experience which includes:

- 2008 Kaphsiung, Taiwan-pairs and singles

Lessons are $5.00 per class. Includes regular skate rentals.
Beginner Lesson — Every Saturday morning: 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Intermediate Lesson — Every Saturday morning: 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Pinellas Park Skating Lesson Schedule
Lessons are $5.00 per class. Includes regular skate rentals.
Beginner Lesson — Every Saturday morning: 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Beginner Freestyle Class — Every Saturday morning: 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 p.m. (Starts May 7, 2011) This class is for the more advanced skater as it teaches beginner jumps and spins. Also off floor training is involved.
The skater must have passed the Super Skater 1 test or approval by skating instructor to be eligible to take this class.
Intermediate Lesson — Every Saturday morning: 11:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Astro Skating Club
"Home of Champions"
The Astro Skating Club is a competitive artistic roller skating club. Whether you are a figure, dance, or freestyle skater, our club is for you. Our certified skating coaches are members of USARS (United States of America Roller Sports) and have numerous students win and place at the Regional and National Championships. Astro Skating Club also participates in the RSA (Roller Skating Association) Achievement testing program.
Our skaters range in age and level of skating from the beginner to the advanced. Visiting competitive skaters are always welcome. Whether you are a beginner skater, interested in the competitive world of roller skating, wish to further your skills, or wanting to join our competitive team, the coaches at Astro can get you started.
