The Bradenton Derby BratsThe Bradenton Derby Brats is a Junior Roller Derby Team with pending registration with the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA). The JRDA is a public non-profit educational and amateur sports organization dedicated to advancing the growth of roller derby through the standardization of rules and goals for existing and new leagues. A not-for-profit organization, The Bradenton Derby Brats supports the JRDA mission and also incorporates a civic-minded focus to its operations and works with local charities. In other words, we have fun playing a great sport while helping our community!
Serving the Bradenton, Sarasota, and surrounding areas, The Bradenton Derby Brats features girl athletes ages 6 through 17. Taught by veteran skaters who believe every girl can discover her inner warrior and become a team leader, girls learn to play this exciting, fast-paced sport while building lasting friendships, developing leadership skills, and discovering the power of teamwork.
Even if you’ve never been associated with any type of derby group before you’ll find a strong sisterhood awaits your daughter. In turn, you will have a great support system of other parents who believe that your daughter and theirs can be empowered young women and strong leaders through teamwork. Like regular roller derby, Junior Roller Derby is an all-inclusive sport. No matter what your background, on the track and through hard work all girls can be an asset to their team. Parents & family members can be an asset too, and we ask that each parent or guardian take an active role in the league. There are many ways to help out. What’s your special talent?
